Mobile Minutes: Creaky Hinges

My body is sore today.

After a brisk two mile run yesterday, and a paced 5000 meter today…both off the track and on pavement, my body is sore. Throw in some time in the weights department, and introducing legs into the weight lifting routine and my body is cursing me at the moment. It’s been a while since I’ve been this sore after two days of activity. Tomorrow is a rest day, so I’ll be taking full advantage of it, and it’ll be back to the track on Monday.

Interesting (and worthless) story:
I’m always concerned about portion control when I’m eating. I like food, I run, and therefore I can eat without thinking. Most Saturday’s I can be found at a local brewery that serves up brunch from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. As was the case today, I got the similar meal that I always wind up with on Saturday’s. Their made-from-scratch breakfast burrito and their chopped potatoes. Add a side of their stout that they just released, and it’s a meal.

I devoured the thing (slowly), and while driving home I realized something…

I’m full.

I wasn’t stuffed, I wasn’t hungry, I was perfectly content. I didn’t want to take a nap, and I didn’t want to stop for dessert. I was 100% content after that meal. That sensation I’m trying to hold onto so that I know where my limit is when I’m eating food. Again, this story was completely worthless, but that’s truly what makes my blog…mine.
