Mobile Minutes: Impatient

I’ve missed being at the office for three days this week. I missed out on the ALS ice bucket challenge, I missed out on pupusas El Salvador style…all because of this stupid cold.

All the nasty stuff has ended, minus a serious sinus issue in my head, and an occasional blocked ear. Sudefed didn’t meet my anticipation so I’m switching over to DayQuil to get this crud moving. The coughing has started, and I know that one place that I’m at serious fault for is not staying hydrated through all of this.

I’ve been reading up on sinus congestion, colds, the flu, etc…and you know what I’m learning? It’s not uncommon for this garbage to hang around for seven days. SEVEN DAYS! Forget that garbage, I’ll drug myself stupid to get out of this apartment tomorrow. My head may not be in it, but I’ve got to get out.

Mobile Minutes: Spin Me Around

I took a shower for the first time in three days…
That’s where the adventure ended. Between the vertigo, pressure, and sinus headache I was KO’d by the time I left the bathroom.
Praise God I have a job where I can work from home…
…I’m so sick of this garbage.

Mobile Minutes: It’s Here

It isn’t pumpkin spice lattes…
It isn’t autumn leave scented Yankee Candles…
It’s the other thing…

…the seasonal cold…

I woke up at 2:00 AM, 4:00 AM, 6:00 AM, and 7:00 AM last night, knowing the sensation, my head hurt, my throat hurt, and the dreaded word drainage was taking place. I started the day with some fluids and hot coffee. It’s now near 2:00 PM and I’m fading fast. Not how I really wanted to start out the week, and I’m sure I contracted this from being at my parents house on Saturday. At first I thought that perhaps it was allergies, but the chills getting out of the shower this morning put everything in perspective.

I don’t want to be sick. I can’t be sick. I don’t have time.

Ugh…

Mobile Minutes: Fighter

Got to work yesterday feeling “off”. I couldn’t seem to wake up or to get warm. Both being bad signs. On top of that my hunger was out of control. Another indicator of getting sick.

Went home from work around 4:00. Got home, had dinner, and I slept for almost a solid twelve hours.

Now? I feel refreshed and perfect!

Mobile Minutes: Flu

I thought it was a cold that had me sidelined today.
Until around 8:00 PM.

I had just finished a bag of popcorn while watching a movie. Then the sweating started. This was followed by some serious cramps and a nasty stomach ache.

I’ll leave the rest to your imagination.

Looks like I have the full blown flu. It’s been several years since I had to deal with that overtaking my body.

Rest, liquids, and rest. Appears I’ll be sidelined tomorrow as well.
